Sacramento Regional Genealogical Council
MISSION: Our mission is to stimulate an interest in studying family history and genealogy, and assist persons who are researching their family history.  Whether a person begins their search with documents and a name, or through a DNA test, searching for family members is what we do.
As of 30th June 2020, all workshops and meetings remain cancelled.  City facilities used by RGS remain closed and social distancing remains in place.
10th June 2020
To our RGS Members and Friends,
We wanted to share the latest update we have received from the City of Roseville.  The city libraries and Maidu Center are still closed indefinitely.  A brief excerpt from their email states,
“Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated ballpark of a date on when we can open the libraries or even if once the libraries are open, that we can have programs commencing.  Library staff will reach out to the Genealogical Society when we have a decision on when to reopen and how programming will look.  We appreciate you as a partner and we look forward to the date that you can come back into our libraries.”
While RGS cannot hold our speakers’ meetings or workshops, we would like to keep in contact with you through our website, Facebook page, or email at
Feel free to use our sites to share your genealogical information of interest or ask questions you may have.  Perhaps you have found a site that may be helpful to others or you have a brick wall that you might need help with.
We will continue to post any information that we receive.   Our next newsletter will be published in July 2020.  Follow us on our website and/or Facebook or email us.  Looking forward to seeing everyone once again.  Stay safe.
