Roots & Gold Dust Genealogical Society

The Roots & Gold Dust Genealogical Society of El Dorado County was founded in 1979 to aid and encourage members and the general public in seeking their genealogical roots.

OUR MISSION:
Our mission is to gather, preserve, and publish local genealogical and historical data and to aid members in compiling their family histories. We invite guest speakers to most of our meetings and we support the book collection at the El Dorado FamilySearch Center.

MEETINGS:
WHEN: Meetings start at 1:00 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Exceptions: the November meeting date varies, and there is no meeting in December.

WHERE: Meetings are held in the Primary Room at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3275 Cedar Ravine Road, Placerville, CA 95667.

Although the Roots & Gold Dust Genealogical Society is not affiliated with the LDS Church, we have a mutual interest in family history research
