Cemetery Research: Begin at the End
Presented by Ralph & Teresa Mize

There is a wealth of information that can be found by finding the final resting places of our ancestors.  We will discuss how to find burial and obituary information online, but also what can be obtained by actually visiting the cemetery to gain the most from the experience, both personally and genealogically.  Remember that not only are individuals buried there, but also are often families found there too.

About Ralph & Teresa Mize:
This husband and wife team have been searching for their ancestors and kin even before they were married some 47 years ago.  Early in their dating they found out that they were 8th cousins once removed from their shared Fairbanks and Metcalf families in colonial Massachusetts.  Their family history research has guided many family trips to the locations of where their ancestors lived on both sides of the "Pond", visiting many archives, libraries, and cemeteries in the process.  Along their life's journeys, Ralph & Teresa have volunteered serving in several FamilySearch Centers, which included a term as Directors of the Menlo Park Family History Center.  Starting in May of this year, they will be serving full-time in the Sacramento FamilySearch Center.
