About John Kreutzer:
Descended from Germans from Russia, John Kreutzer can trace his ancestors back to the 18th century, seven or more generations.   He grew up in Fresno California, the city with the most GRs per capita in the state.  John has been active in genealogy, family history and researching the cultural heritage of Germans from Russia for over 30 years.  He is a life member of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia (AHSGR) and has presented at national and state level conventions and numerous local meetings.

John has made several excursions to the heartland of the country visiting historic sites and interviewing senior community members who recounted events and conditions, some now nearly a century past .  His ancestors were original homesteaders in then (and still!) rural Kansas 150 years ago.

Currently the recording secretary of the local joint chapter of AHSGR and The Germans from Russia Heritage Society (GHRS), John has held the offices of President, Vice President and Historian.
