Punjabi / Indian Records: What Are They and How Do We Find Them?

We will learn about Punjabi and other Indian Pilgrimage, and Land Tax Records. We will talk about how to find, access, and decipher those records. We will also see examples of genealogies compiled from these and other sources.

About Lynn Takahashi:
Lynne is the Director of the Yuba City FamilySearch Center, where she has been serving since February 2021. In May of 2021, she was asked to reach out to members of the Punjabi community and help with their family history, which led to introductions to intense work adding the villages and towns of Punjab to FamilySearch. We are currently assisting FamilySearch with work in other states, beginning with Karnataka.
