About Patty Mariott-Saathoff:
Patty or Patricia Mariott-Saathoff graduated from Pittsburg State University of Kansas in 1977 with a Bachelors in Nursing.    In 1999 Patty returned to school and earned her Masters in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  As Patty’s parents became older they bequeathed their genealogy research and family trees to Patty but she did not take the genealogy challenge seriously at first.   As time went on Patty became more serious about finding her ancestors.  Also she was curious to find out how could the physicians and the coroners of yesteryear tell what the cause of death to put on the death certificates of deceased persons, especially when they had not seen or examined the deceased prior to their death.  Thus began a search to find the answers to many genealogical questions.
